Supporting NTPC Limited in Major Fleetwide Digital Transformation Initiative

Amherst, NY November 21, 2025 — EtaPRO LLC, a Toshiba Group Company, and global leader in digital solutions for power plant performance and reliability, is proud to announce a major contract award to deliver its advanced EtaPRO® AI-driven monitoring system across up to 165* thermal and renewable energy power plants in India. This transformative initiative, led by Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Ltd., marks a significant milestone in India’s energy modernization efforts.

The contract, awarded by NTPC Limited—India’s largest state-owned power generation company—represents NTPC’s first deployment of a centralized plant monitoring solution of this scale. The system will be implemented across NTPC-owned and joint venture facilities, including plants currently in development, and is scheduled to begin operations in spring 2027.

EtaPRO will serve as the core of the centralized monitoring system, leveraging artificial intelligence and IoT technologies to analyze real-time operational data at each plant. The system enables early detection of equipment anomalies, root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance, significantly reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.

This contract further strengthens EtaPRO’s global footprint and reinforces its position as a trusted partner in the digital evolution of power generation.

 

*EtaPRO® is contracted to deploy on 115 units across NTPC, with the intent is to increase to 165 in the future.
